Our newest venture, the Carousel Cafe is a perfect fit for our store. People kept asking us where they could go for a coffee and a bite to eat, there are many good places downtown but none on our block, so we opened one.
We offer a relaxed, uncrowded atmosphere, great coffee, a wide variety of quality teas and a growing list of food snacks.
We proudly offer Reunion Island, organic, Fair Trade, sustainable coffee. The beans are freshly ground just before brewing. You can get your coffee in a hand-made pottery cup to sit and sip or in a bio-degradable, compostable take-out cup to sip and stroll.
$2 a cup tax included.
Tea your thing? Ours too. We serve a wide variety of Benchmark Teas, both regular and herbal.
$2 a cup, tax included
Treats and Specials
Get a famous Wilkie's butter tart, or cookie with your coffee for just $3, tax included.
We are the exclusive Orillia outlet for Bakei Bakei, a wonderful, new bakery in Wasaga Beach. We met them at the Orillia Farmers' Market in the summer and were blown away by their healthy and delicious goods. Currently we carry their scrumptious empanadas (hand pies) and scones.
Now serving delicious, home made soup. We have a wide variety of choices including vegetarian, vegan and organic options. All are hearty, flavourful and only $6.75 a bowl with a fresh, hot tea bisquit included.
People often come into our store just to hear the music. Our exclusive playlist features jazz and big band from the 30s and 40s, vintage blues, rhythm and blues, country, folk, pop and classical all mixed together. It gets your toes tappin' but doesn't interfere with your conversation.
We also have live music from fine local and regional acts like Angie Nussey, Karen Warner, Ken Tizzard, Sol City Jazz, Floyd Hall Trio and many more. In February we started our Sunday Afternoon Acoustic Open Jam series featuring Ian Chaplin, Matt James and anybody else who wants to join in. It happens every Sunday afternoon from 1 PM to 4 PM.
When all that fails we've got an original, working 1948 Wurlitzer juke box filled with 78s from the 1940s and 50s.
